The Monday Night Hangover makes it a baker’s dozen with a very special thirteenth edition of the show that is the envy of internet broadcasters everywhere. This time around we are joined by Seán McLaughlin and Craig MacLeod of scots indie-rock intelligensia Dante who offer up personal selections for us to dissect and very kindly play two songs in the studio.
Dante fans, of which there are many, will be pleased to hear that a new album and some live dates are on the way. In the meantime, Seán and Craig give us the lowdown on working with studio ace Andy Monaghan (Frightened Rabbit, Owl John), and their searching critical analysis of an unusually fabulous selection of ear-caressing tunes. Listen out for Seven Sons, Tom Petty, John Moreland, Lau, Owl John, Broken Records, the Brothers Landreth and lots more.
The Monday Night Hangover 13 with Gavin ‘Jeebo’ Brady and Mike Clark broadcasts initially on 19th October at 20.00 GMT and it’s repeated again on 21st and 22nd October at 13.00 GMT. Listeners in foreign climes and odd time zones can hear the show on the 23rd and 24th of October at 01.00. Please note that this edition of the show is a specially extended 90 minute bundle of listening joy, so get the drinks and munchies in…..and listen responsibly.
Other stations are available……but they don’t have The Monday Night Hangover. Catch up with previous shows at Mixcloud.
