Get a Completely Different View of Jazz with Scott Murphy on Fresh Jam Number Two!

Fresh Jam with Scott Murphy features jazz, funk, fusion and cross-genre explorations with a fresh and particularly Scottish perspective. Scott features some of the brightest new prospects in UK jazz, not least the most promising home grown talent to be found north of Greta Green. There are also some firmly established faces, some of whom will be very familiar to jazz fans on both sides of Hadrian’s Wall.

Above all, Scott will be playing some of the most original new music you’re likely to hear on any radio station, anywhere. Other stations are available, but we’re the only one that can safely say we’ve got ‘Fresh Jam’! So, dig in!

Fresh Jam Number 2 features Antelope – Absolution (EP1), John Patton – Johnny Nae Cash (Green 14), Tom Gibbs – Daily Brad (Fear of Flying), Stephen Duffy – You And The Night And The Music (Live at Glasgow International Jazz Festival), Fergus McCreadie Trio – Ugetsu (Demo Tapes), Family Band – Bring Lulu, Gabriel Wareing – The Dawning (The Dawning), Glasshopper – Tilly (Tilly), Enrico Zanisi – Magic Numbers (Keywords), Kwortet – Bennet (EP1) and Euan Burton – South (Too Much Love – Bonus Edition)

Fresh Jam 2 with Scott Murphy broadcasts on Tuesday 27th October 2015 at 20.00 GMT.

The show is repeated on Thursday 29th October at 20.00. GMT, and Sunday 1st October at 13.00 GMT.
